2019-01-04 14:17:03 UTC

I agree, but im just saying it exists.

2019-01-04 14:17:22 UTC

oh here we go with the cissplayning

2019-01-04 14:17:22 UTC

When I was growing up gay people were asking to not be labelled "gay" and rather a person who happens to be gay, so I see any other label the same way.

2019-01-04 14:17:27 UTC

It exists, but it is stupid

2019-01-04 14:17:53 UTC

And people who say it are stupid

2019-01-04 14:18:28 UTC

For me the concept of gay being offensive is stupid

2019-01-04 14:18:45 UTC

```When I was growing up gay people were asking to not be labelled "gay" and rather a person who happens to be gay, so I see any other label the same way.```
Yes and that's the sane "gay", that just are and be for themselves. I don't have a Problem with that.
But beeing "gay in your face", that I really do not like.
Its like when a non gay would be with "yeah, I ain't gay" in your face....
2019-01-04 14:18:58 UTC
But i do understand that my word usage affects people and whether or not i care is the problem.
2019-01-04 14:19:35 UTC
The Problem with the "Gay" at the moment is that they try to encourage others to be gay. And that is totally fucked up.
2019-01-04 14:19:36 UTC
For me the word gay is shorter way to say retarded or stupid
2019-01-04 14:19:44 UTC
Ye
2019-01-04 14:19:51 UTC
Yeah, that as well....
2019-01-04 14:19:55 UTC
If i wanna talk about homosexuality
2019-01-04 14:20:07 UTC
I say being gay
2019-01-04 14:20:14 UTC
and if you want to change a word, you own it and call everyone that, with that you destroy the power of the Word.
2019-01-04 14:20:38 UTC
Well gay was already co-opted
2019-01-04 14:20:47 UTC
Like the "Talk Funny" Luis CK/Chris Rock shit...
2019-01-04 14:21:15 UTC
It's more about when they use the words to define someone rather than one of many words to describe someone.
2019-01-04 14:21:42 UTC
Well only things that define someone is their actions
2019-01-04 14:21:57 UTC
Always has and always will be the case
Heres the difference i find in normal day use vs politics in a macro scale:
1. Most of these words are not used on a daily basis as a descriptor to define an action or thing.
2. These words carry various meanings in certain areas due to dialects
Macro-
1. Used to cover a whole societies use of words based on advocates terming and definitions.
2. Carry no specification of said definition and therefore can be manipulated.
3. The general populace has minimum knowledge based on access to multimedia.
2019-01-04 14:27:12 UTC
Which is why I hate intersectionality as it sets up perimeters in places that already carry their own functioning ones and therefore force people to adapt or cease functioning entirely.
