what kind of analyst . . . ?
And here we go... Socialist starting to go full on dictatorship.
Who gets to decide which landlord is problematic hmmm...
Will it be based on perceive political stance? Perceive hate crime? Snap judgements? What will happen to those renting the homes?
The proposal is the latest big-government pitch from the mayor. Earlier this month, he announced plans to launch “the largest, most comprehensive plan in the nation” to guarantee health care coverage for all city residents, including those in the country illegally.”
Yeah that will be a massive drain. We already known illegal immigrants send money back to their families in their home nations, effectively draining our nation's income and thus leading to a decrease in quality of services.
i mean look at the common use of problematic
its used to describe white men
*Nods.* So white property owners who rent their homes out will end up getting pushed out of the housing market.
going to bet it will eventually extend to non corporate land owners. It will start with anyone likely to vote republican and eventually extend to non corporate entities
That is what happens when you Elect authoritarians who want to be like their idols, oversea socialist dictators.
Oh yes.... they must squash their opposition party so they have no threat to their power or position.
anything that isn't a 1%s mansion will be torn down to make way for apartments
Oh they will claim it is problematic eyesore that these poor people live on the land that they want.
So they will seize the property owners, claiming that they are indeed landlords to their children.
likely studios barely big enough to not be called closets
It is a pretty damn vague idea that is ripe for abuse.
and everyone in new york will end up living in what is essentially a jail cell they pay for then
I can understand civilian oversight, but keep the government out of anything that has to deal with property and ownership.
Like say... civilians could rate the landlords and the landlords could by law have to post the ratings on their buildings.
That wouldn't be so bad.
Could be like restruants rating, but for landlords and how well they treat their tenants.
they already do this in california btw. The housing authority charges you fees plus prosecution and cost fees (tens of thousands) for the most minor of violations now like grass is to tall... and siege your home for failure to pay
I am not talking about fees and fines.
I am talking about a simple rating system to allow renters to know what they are getting into.
Or a simple website that will display complaints, evidence, and past history of landlords.
the fees are cover to siege homes. that is what california does and what new york will follow
Basically giving the power to the people who are renting these homes.
THERE IS LIFE AFTER DEATH!
god said
To pick and choose the best renting home on the market.
It will also allow for bad landlords to feel the sting.
If no one is renting their homes, they will be forced to change or sell.
the people deciding all that are insane progressives though
Is that a bad idea? To give information regarding the landlords?
they enjoy the sight of massive homeless tent cities for example
Nothing like politics or anything, everything regarding how they run their renting homes and how they treat their tenants.
with sane people it's fine... but the world has gone crazy
