Hi, regarding "#CovingtonGate HARASSER FIRED!! MAGA Kid Incident Gets Leftist Fired" video, when Tim cites tweets and wonders if it's a gray area. Since in the tweet he included and attached a supposed/percieved belief in god to the group he wished death upon, it does indeed become illegal right ?
i don't think "wishing death" is illegal
like uhm
"I hope you die" is free speech
"someone kill this man" is a call to action
cuz you're not longer wishing it, you are appealing someone to
so like uhm
that wamen that went "i will blow whoever punches this kid" is a crime
cuz its a call to violence
i hope these people die
i hope these people of X race die
i hope there people of X religion die
i hope these people of X political group die
Isn't there a difference in the law ? :bigthonk:
call to action is legally the key word
yes
hoping is free speech
calling for action is punishable
or does the difference lies in if it was a call to action, it would be a "hate crime" because of the added specification of the group targeted ?
only works in countries where free speech exists, so not canada or the uk
but it depends on the severity ofc
"I hope someone grabs the keys you hide under your doormat at the back-porch to unlock your house at night and stab you with a knife at this adress XxxXX"
then its no longer a wish 😛
exactly
fbi inc
😄
or like
doxxing is bad, but wishing someone was doxxed is accepted
unless its "i hope you live at <doxxed adress>"
🤔
is giving the president's adress doxxing ? <:TimThink:482277772497125378>
nah, cuz thats a public adress
^
doxxing is for private information
can you dox yourself?
well if an information is made public, it's no longer private
thus doxxing is impossible
you can not dox yourself 😛
or is it just changing your information to public
yeah
doxxing is the act of making private information public
against someones will
