Having fixed prices for the essential stuff
Like bread and milk.
@Archon It is really sad how people delude themselves with socialism and think they are doing a great thing when they don't even take the time to look into the past and see the dead that prove otherwise.
But letting the rest of the market free
Most countries people in the US think are socialist are actually based off free market and have no minimum wage
I think the only time socialism will succeed if everyone ends up being robots or slaves.
Lul
Yup
Well eventually we'll get there when the means of production are completely automated
socialism works in cemetaries all the time, yo.
But that's a science fiction future
That's a scary future man.
@Dusty Morgan yup and they boast of their ignorance aswell
Yeah who knows dude
Socialism is really a spectrum and can be applied in multiple ways, contrary to what Lenin said it doesn't need to be a in universal system, as in you don't need to export the revolution
its truley stupifying!!
Imagine capitalism but with robots that do all the work.
whoa
Yeah, that's pretty much the only viable model
But we're nowhere near that
Maybe someday in Star Trek land lol
That being said, when you're applying the benefits of socialism for one group but the negatives of socialism on another, you're verging on honest literal fascism
y?
through robots can we then have a form of socialism? like Star Trek? thwt be wierd!!
😆
I mean humans will pursue other ventures than labor
I honestly think... if we use robots to do the jobs and earn money for the government, the government then supports the citizens... that might work.

^
oof
There isn't enough ventures for the current population
Robots can only do what they're programmed to do, automation isn't a magic bullet
that's it, the costs of labor will drop to the cost of the energy required for the robots
True... but it is the best chance for socialism to ever work.
meaning shit will be cheap as fuck
If you want it to be you'd want some form of extreme meritocracy to allow the people who can make it do everything to exist
Let alone the estimated population by the time we reach automated robots.

That's assuming humans even get that far
True.
