an inmortal cell that can easily transferred to humans?
Thats literally cancer
Don't think about it
And it will make sense
so basically the reasons cells start to decay is because they have a gene that gets "Worn out." The gene, which we currently can synthetically make, ensures the cells regenerate at a rate that is beneficial to the body, meaning any damaged cells are replaced properly. Let me see if I can remember the name of the gene
its here in my textbook somewhere
telomeres
AAV-IGF-I
AAV is the virus they use to get the gene into the nucleus, and IGF-I is the actual thing
are you a doctor?
no
or planning on studying it?
i want to be a biomedical engineer
with a double major in journalism
Huh thats a weird career pair
yeah wow
why journalism?
I mean, doubt you'll be able to do anything else when you go into medical school
research/ innovation careers have a lot of potential for journalism coverage
researchers have their own world when it comes to publishing their results
lol.. watching this film where this supposedly know-it-all interpol agent woman goes into a gun store in the US and says what if I want something bigger.. like an AR-15 ... like.. those are legal in the UK... theyre not bigger 😛
rip
Huh cool you pretty much want to do the same thing as me, minus the whole journalism thing
basically the reasoning for my double major choice is that i have literally nothing else to do with my time and i cant exactly live two lives at the same time
what do you want to specialize in?
biomechanics
I hate the femme fatale trope
i think nanomachines are the way to go
honestly yea
not gender studies?
dude .. telling companies theyre not hiring the right races is big business now
i have no experience with mechanical engineering or any of that, so i am just going into cell growth, development and specialization
judging people by content of character is so 1990's
my high school is paying for me to go to college next year to get some general education credits out of the way
17
lol,you're young
ofc you don't have any experience
i alredy got a degree in clinica biochemistry
but i kinda need to deal with something first
