The "evidence" of misconduct is almost always out-of-context misunderstandings, prejudice, and cultural bias against Vic. You can be absolutely sure what he considers to be normal social interaction is much different from youthful fans from other cultures, even within the U.S., and especially compared to youth from conservative evangelical backgrounds who, although trying to liberalize personally, may not be fully conscious of their ingrained puritan-like social mores, and so may be too easily offended. He was absolutely raised in a context where kissing and hughing were social norms between strangers, and once you take your norms to a national, even global scale at conventions, you are bound to run into misunderstandings, and the press has done its best (for click-generating scandal-mongering) to keep readers from understanding context.
