but i'm a boy đŸ˜
@Khanclansith Actually it only works in theory or with a very small group of people. Once the group is large enough that everyone doesn't know everyone else and can motivate them to produce it always fails. One of the original colonies in the US was run via socialist principles. The people were starving and ready to return to England. A new governor divided the land and gave it to the colonists with the idea that what they grew was their own. The colony was saved.
@CasualSailor yeah, I feel like in really small rural areas socialism wouldn't be a terrible idea, but even running something the size of a county would be a problem
denmark norway and sweden are literal hellholes
socialism will never work
If they had a tougher immigration policy, they would be fine
@mikeflarkin Exactly. And it needs to be a tight nit group with common morals and values such that those who refuse to produce can be motivated with something other than force. Otherwise, if I can eat as much as you and do no labor then I'm headed for shady tree to have a nap.
but Stalin type of communism is very tyranical and people who were raised on tirany actually like it tbh, i think same goes with slavery...
No idea what prompted me to look up Chompsky, but lo and behold, from Wikipedia: "In his youth, Chomsky developed a dislike of capitalism and the pursuit of material wealth. At the same time, he developed disdain for authoritarian attempts to establish a socialist society, as represented by the Marxist–Leninist policies of the Soviet Union". I like the general direction here...
@DarKinGate you see that with prison systems as well, sometimes when someone has done a really long sentence they don't know what to do when they get out and actually miss it.
@CasualSailor Not really. What people mistake Socialism working at small scale is really A community with a sort of Turnip Trade Capitalist Economy. And we have millions of years of those working fine since they are so small.
you can't want something that you havent even tasted...
@The Wanderer But they are not actually socialist. They have what Democrats want for us, Capitalism with extreme taxes and extreme social spending. Sales taxes in those countries are 25%. Car taxes are 180%. The middle class pay 1/2 their income in taxes. And it is still not enough money.
They are overburdening their welfare states
With all the immigration
Otherwise they could cut taxes
Especially because the people that are immigrating have no desire to assimilate culture-wise
Communism Works! Change my mind!
@CasualSailor still not enough money?
@Khanclansith Yes. A family is an example of a successful socialist economic model. So were American Indian tribes. Everyone worked and everyone ate. But it doesn't work with strangers.
@DarKinGate Go troll somewhere else and read real history books.
@King Canuck ...well, shit.
@Khanclansith yet you are looking at it from your moral standpoint.
I know right
Didn't see that coming.
@DarKinGate No I am looking at it from a realistic stand point
from my perspective it works as INTENDED by creators and not fantasy follower SJWs
Dam, discord is shutting down. I guess they didnt make any money, they never had any advertising. Not enough people bought nitro đŸ˜‚
Ye
Socialism can work in a small community, kind of like a group of friends. Not on a large scale.
@DarKinGate COMMUNISM NEVER WORKS. HUMAN NATURE DICTACTES IT DOESN'T. PISS OFF TROLL
Discord is centralized and can censor you at any moment.
@mikeflarkin you are right, but this is not how Communism works tho, and wasnt intended like that, if someone doesnt meet requirement or try to stand up, you trow him/her into prison and his family there will be no one to complain
I suggest everyone have alts
Irc matrix
Whatever
you just have to make people stop complain and force them to work for jobs
@The Wanderer Economic forcast reports for Norway are not good. Their economy is stagnate. They are suffering from lower oil prices since there're like other countries that rely heavily upon oil revenues they need oil prices to remain high. According to zerohedge that number for Norway is $70/barrel. Monday's price will be about $53 per barrel. You can't just pick a single factor like "cash reserves."
