@CasualSailor most likely yes, and then also mass public transit in dense urban areas which could be funded by city taxes and that kind of thing. Subsidized fares for transit for low income people in urban areas so they can get to work and stuff, and some kind of affordable healthy food program for low income people
The eligibility of these programs would need to be restricted to those who truly need it

@Gary Payton Tribute Account Did you know that something like 70% of NYC transit workers file disability claims prior to retirement because the system allows them to double dip? You would restrict benefits to only those who "need" it. Well those workers found doctors to sign forms attesting to their need. No matter what system you put into place people will find a way to exploit it. And again, if you promise to end the abuse then I will promise to end your "war against the disabled" and defeat you.
