and alcohol is definitely a drug
i get cranky if i don't sleep though and snap at the wife for no reason but our fights have become her saying something that's obviously not correct and me yesdearing her
Thats because drinking can be a repeatable action and you might not have got into a fight before, you can say you did drugs for the first time and work on a deal to attend rehabilitation
not sure if that's fighting enough to the jailers to mind
@TwinVickers weak, when I don't sleep I hallucinate that there are shadow people outside my window at 5AM
yeah i get that after 72 hrs
One time I saw a deer that had a neck like a giraffe when I was sleep deprived
or three nights not slept
fucking weird
once after a huge bender i tried to sleep but couldn't because a creature kept jumping on the bed
oof
I just did a 36 hour day and that was awful
Once I stayed up for 9 days with a machete in the corner of my room because I thought slender man was going to kill me
I can't imagine 72 hours
I thought I was at the bottom of a hotel swimming pool
by day 6 or 7
after about 40 hours they all take about the same effort to stay awake
idk who else gets this, but i always find the night hours easier to stay awake during than the day ones
not sleeping messes with my immunity response too much these days
During the day I wish I was asleep
messes with your digestive cycle and appetite, puts extra wear on your heart
causes memory loss due to lack of REM
If you look at a brain that is sleep deprived you see low levels of brain damage
Less synaptic shearing, buildups of brain plaque
interferes with the ability to learn unless it's using pathways you already have (ie. learning a new programming language when you can already program is ok)
i'm on so many meds i get that regardless. i forget what words mean
basically it fucks your brain up in a very serious way that looks somewhat like a very mild case of dementia or alzheimers'
or know the meaning but not the word
everyone gets that to some extent
apparently alz can only be really diagnosed post mortem
particularly over 30
i'm 38
we're near the same age
i used to abuse benadryl so I'm probably gonna get dementia by age 40
i did a lot of dxm as a kid
dxm is also pretty bad for you if you use it frequently
4th plateau and beyond too many times
i experimented with LSD quite a bit, as well as reprogramming myself socially so i could make eye contact and say what i meant
Ah, I did none of that because I am not a socially awkward degenerate
