Isn't that poor planning ?
I'll concede Tolkien and Prattchet tbh
tolkien is neat
"The main characters don't use it " then why bother
what's wrong with grrm then
Idk guys, Ron Weasley is pretty magical
amon amarth based their name on that
roy mustang can only use fire at will because he understands it and prepares beforehand for example
How is that
A hard system
I raise you phillip pullman too
Why does roy need to click his fingers
What are the weaknesses
amber spyglass dude
kais note
"he aight"
What allows people to learn alchemy
that's fantasy without elves and dwarves
only important people get a note
being aight in my book
is a damn fine accomplishment
No not really
i either hate people, tolerate them, or think they are okay
the weaknesses are that you cannot create or destroy matter, only reshape it. anyone can learn alchemy you just need to do scientific research and understand it
The only display of full use of the system were scar and kimbley
klatu baratu nikto
roy clicks his fingers so his alchemy thingy circuit forms between the fingers, and also to create a spark to light the gas he draws in with the alchemy
Most of the homunculi had distinct strengths based off of their personalities which is basically naruto
right
Idk I've been finding harder to engage with fiction as the years go on, there's so much crazy shit that *actually happened* I find it difficult to care a lot of the time
There's 3 basic rules of fma
the homunculi can do whatever they want alchemy wise because they have a philosophers stone
So why create a system
And the main focus is the exception
I'm the reverse, so much crazy shit happens I know I have no control over, that I like finding these worlds where you gradually work it out and things resolve
Don't get me wrong I still love fma
I just fundamentally question that aspect
because the exception involves a massive loss of human life and every exception is a tragedy
