Speciation is microevolution. not macroevolution. for which we have no evidence. we've never observed a bird produce a non-bird.

Macroevolution starts with speciation. It's hard to draw the line between micro and macro. Macro is basically an accumulation of micro over time

There is no scientific evidence to support that. it's an opinion

2020-03-26 15:57:04 UTC

and you know it

2020-03-26 15:59:22 UTC

I can send you a list of scientific peer reviewed papers on it, if you're interested?

2020-03-26 16:48:47 UTC

only if they contain repeatable experiments where a bird turns into a non-bird. if it's paleontology data it's useless. it tells you nothing because it's not science. they cannot apply the scientific method. one has to dream up a story to explain it. science: directly observable, testable, repeatable, and falsifiable. if your papers meet those critieria then please attach the links. if not, you may as well print them out and use them for toilet paper

"Where a bird turns into a non-bird". Yea, that's not how science works. I believe you're talking about magic.. Palaeontology and palaeoecology are not useless, but ok, I mean, palaeontology is a scientific field after all. Try again
You want empirical evidence? Sure thing, here you go. Four links to start you off https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/ele.12460, https://nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/nph.12374, https://www.pnas.org/content/116/27/13440, https://academic.oup.com/mbe/article/37/1/183/5570178

all microevolution (speciation/adaptation)

2020-03-26 17:40:45 UTC

as expected

2020-03-26 17:40:51 UTC

bcs macroevolution is impossible

2020-03-26 17:42:38 UTC

paleontology is not a scientific field. they cannot apply the scientific method. they look at fossils

2020-03-26 17:43:19 UTC

a fossil can't even tell you that if that organism even reproduced...

2020-03-26 17:51:29 UTC

You didn't seem to read what I said, so let me repeat (no worries mate, you're good). Micro describes mechanisms that alter the frequencies of alleles (within species), yea? Macro describes patterns at a grand scale across vast time periods. The only difference is the timescale involved. Cool? Btw, what do you mean by "they cannot apply the scientific method"?

what am i supposed to get from this?

2020-03-26 19:19:55 UTC

@Flat Earth PhD the fact that the fossil is there means it's parents reproduced at one point smh.... The study of fossils proves evolution

2020-03-26 19:20:24 UTC

👍

2020-03-26 19:20:37 UTC

I'm glad we agree
