I'm not sure if this is the correct place, but, here is my question:

Why would Nasa spend millions/billions into making people think the earth is round? From my humble perspective, things such as 9/11, JFK and RFK, USS liberty and the alike had their reasonings (either political or economical), but what rings a bell in the flat earth theory is just... why? What do they have to gain in 'lying' about the earth's shape?

Edit: The reason I have "NASA Lies" tags is because unlike flat earthers, I just believe that NASA, like most of the military, is a huge money laundering scheme

Adding slightly on to you nasa question though, if nasa was truly just to control the masses, wouldn't they make it so that all of their missions were successful? Just say that they had to wait for a special phenomenon to lift off, so they would have an excuse for not sending people into space each year.

Every time a nasa mission is unsuccessful, there is heavy backlash, people want to stop paying taxes because "it's just going into space", they turn against athorities blaming them for the deaths, ect

Yea, I belive they,like most the government keep new tech to themselves and other such things, but I belive that many of their achievements were real.

And heck, if Nass fails in 2025, I doubt they will get support for a long time to come
