Contained pressure requires a container, of course. But atmospheric pressure is due to the *weight* of the atmosphere. Just like how pressure increases the further under water you go. There's nothing "containing" the water at the surface.

I can make lots of observations about a system and create say 3 different models that accurately predict future outcomes but only one is actually correct in describing the system

Have you seen octans? It's a constellation in the south which can be seen from multiple locations. This is impossible on a flat earth
