cognito ergo sum
How is science not philosophy
thats different from science
what does it employ outside of philosophy
i just said it
Just looked up a definition for scientism in my Encyclopedia. Strange how it demands belief..
but we are not belivers in that dude
and btw
belief means 2 things, not one
it can mean a faith based conclusion
or a fact based conclusion
so i belive the earth is a globe cause there are facts for that
but i also belive in god and that is 100% a matter of faith
as there is zero evidence for that
what does science use that's outside the field of philosophy
yeah derek?
science is not philosophy because philosophy does not require evidence
God requires belief. Yes.
The use of logical inference is philosophy
this is the foundation of science lol
eh... no but this is a silly talk if u ask me
You guys realize science used to be called natural philosophy
used to
you belive in god, right?
for a reason
Your PhD still says that lmao
Ofc.
christian, yes?
Mhmm.
any denomination in particular?
Philosophy makes such broad claims it's impossible for a rigorous field to be outside of the field
There’s enough division already, imo.
So no particular denomination.
the fact science proports it can discover knowledge is an epistemological claim
well i can say ima roman catholic so yeah ok
the question is: do you take the bible literally?
ok then by your ideas almost everything is philosphy and thats just ridiculous
