I think that religion can be good as long as 1. Churches get taxed 2. Religion has no influence in politics at all 3. People don't rely on their gods to do stuff and they do it by themselves, and finally 4. Children are not indorctinated into believing into something that likely doesn't exist at a young age
It gives people morals to follow - thats its only purpose right now, but you can have morals without god in your life too
