2019-12-11 17:40:35 UTC

we can't scientifially determine what is underneath. deepest we've drilled is 8 miles. so would just be a guess

2019-12-11 17:40:42 UTC

we can only observe/measure the surface

2019-12-11 17:40:54 UTC

So explain the solar system

2019-12-11 17:40:59 UTC

lights

2019-12-11 17:41:10 UTC

not solid objects

2019-12-11 17:41:13 UTC

not even the moon

Everything orbits the sun so are you saying each planet has its own sun

2019-12-11 17:42:00 UTC

nothing's orbiting

2019-12-11 17:42:04 UTC

they are not solid objects.

2019-12-11 17:42:11 UTC

you are looking at the ceilng of a giant planetarium

2019-12-11 17:42:44 UTC

If the earth is flat then if the sun was circling around the earth how come we can’t see the sun all the time

The sun is supposed to be extremely bright

2019-12-11 17:43:45 UTC

We should be able to see the sun then

2019-12-11 17:43:45 UTC

thats not how light works m8

2019-12-11 17:44:02 UTC

the sun is small and local

2019-12-11 17:44:06 UTC

@Citizen Z Thanks Dr. Phil.

2019-12-11 17:44:28 UTC

there are multiple reasons why rays look like that

2019-12-11 17:44:41 UTC

its not a 2D plane of sight

2019-12-11 17:44:42 UTC

The light doesn’t reach us but we still should be able to see the sun

2019-12-11 17:44:49 UTC

there is a 3rd axis

2019-12-11 17:44:51 UTC

it moves too far away

2019-12-11 17:44:54 UTC

@amnelly0341 it IS Antarctica.

2019-12-11 17:45:40 UTC

Nah say if a light bulb is down the street the light doesn’t reach but you can still see the bulb bright as day

2019-12-11 17:45:43 UTC

Antarctica is the ice ring

2019-12-11 17:45:53 UTC

@Mirage at 100 miles?

2019-12-11 17:45:55 UTC

antartica is a ice blob, not a ring
