if the flat earth is real, why are all flat maps distorted to some degree but the globe is not?

Distortions occur when you change the shape and size. Nothing changes proportionally on a globe

It could be wrong, there’s always new islands popping up and large swatches of land being eroded away, and some places aren’t depicted anyway, but distortions don’t just magically appear for no reason
Showing a map that is disgustingly distorted doesnt make that map reality
