If the force is basically nothing for small objects, then how does the atmosphere stick around
That's not what I said
Funny the mental gymnastics the globe has to use
I said that the gravitational force that those small partials have themselves is not large
Thats exactly what u said
However the gravitational force of the earth is large
Ffs
Lol
You just read my statement wrong
remember the equation lmao
Trading out r ya
still a huge force if you have MASSIVE MASS 1 and a *small mass two*
and it gets weak really quickly the farther you are between the two objects
that's why the atmosphere is a gradient
it's nice and dense near sea level
move through the stratosphere, thermos, meso, etc. it just gets thinner and thinner until the amount of "stuff" is negligible
Also, gotta point something out, the void does not "suck things" into it. Gasses naturally spread out into voids if able, but, gravity counteracts how the gasses would normally spread.
Assumption
I'm so tired when people act as if voids have a force of their own
Nice try
vacuums. don't. suck.
Dude. I just explained it
I'm guessing he didn't even read it
Did i say vacuums suck?
homonym: each of two or more words having the same spelling or pronunciation but different meanings and origins.

doesn't air rush to a space where there is less air just like the beach is so breezy, what was their point?
They think gravity holds down individual air molecules from rushing to empty space
i read that it happens but the molecules that escape into space are so negligible that it doesn't really affect the atmosphere. i might be wrong doe but to say it doesn't happen is not facts
But "the force is basically nothing"
Thats true. They claim we are constantly losing air
