@Chaveca way I see it, if you're yelling at your kid, and you're gonna spank them, it's way too easy to let emotion dictate and for you to use it to offset your anger. In that case, it's far too easy to hit too hard, and you *really* don't want to get into the habit of taking your anger out on your kids.

And theres a rise of that and a rise of "if you say anything mean to timmy its abuse"

Better to take 10 minutes to calm down and think of a better way to deal with it.
