we don't call them mountains, we call them hills
not surprised
so a lot of tourists get confused and unprepared when we tell them to go hill hiking
lol
yea
it's good though, i climbed a decent sized one in point shoes and it was ok
maybe it's just in my blood
the us isnt super mountainous but where it is it is crazy
The highest point in the us by ROAD
the further north you go in scotland, the more mountains there are
is 15000 ft
went there in July and it was 35f(2c) and some snow
that's sick
biggest one ive been up is 4412.73ft
ben nevis?
yup
my highest climb was 2200 ft
that's awesome, i love hill climbing.
which mountain was it?
it was in iceland so even tho it was july there was still alot of glacier
its on the lagaverger trail
o shit, i would LOVE to go there. i'm actually planning it on it later this year, we are gonna stay in the viking hotel.
nice
rekyavik is a beautiful city
you have to go on a mutiday hike
i understand a little bit of icelandic, so it should be ok, although im expecting a lot of people to understand english anyway.
yea I knew pretty much zero icelandic
i knew thank you
and we were fine
i want to visit the blue lagoon
even in rural places
didnt go to blue lagoon
went in a natural hot spring on the trail
it's similar to norwegian sometimes, when it's spoken, like some words are the same so i can make it out
yea
i dont know any nordic languages
i know them all except danish and faroese, because that's the one that is most similar to old norse.
i can read danish for the most part but not speak or hear it
