2020-01-22 13:08:20 UTC

patchwork system in the USA. certain localities will have them.

2020-01-22 13:08:32 UTC

Monarchism could result from Caesarism. In that case it would function like North Korea's thing. More likely would he expansion of the executive's power and have the office appointed and not be elected.

2020-01-22 13:09:03 UTC

@Deleted User Yup. It would likely be like

2020-01-22 13:33:55 UTC

Nah, monarchies are gay anyway

2020-01-22 13:40:14 UTC

@Asdrubal What about North Korea?

2020-01-22 13:40:41 UTC

I know its a horrible regime but I’m merely talking about their system of succession

2020-01-22 14:14:01 UTC

North Korea isn't a traditional monarchy but overall the country is very cool

2020-01-22 14:14:31 UTC

Personally tho, I feel Kim isnt pulling the strings by himself

2020-01-22 14:14:50 UTC

NK tried to adopt the mixed economy model but his cabinet stopped him

2020-01-22 15:26:32 UTC

monarchies aint "gay" @Asdrubal

2020-01-22 15:27:29 UTC

in my country (The Kingdom of The Netherlands) we love our king

2020-01-22 15:28:37 UTC

every year on his birthday, everyone wears orange (the national and royal color) and the nation comes together as one

2020-01-22 15:28:56 UTC

2020-01-22 15:31:32 UTC

it's on the 27th of april (his birthday) except for when it's a sunday, then we celebrate it on the 26

2020-01-22 16:02:40 UTC

Monarchy will never return to it's former glory, not in the near future anyways

2020-01-22 16:03:15 UTC

What's more likely to return than a classical monarchy is either a puppet monarchy governed by the aristocrats or a dictatorship / dictatorship puppet

2020-01-22 17:05:28 UTC

I agree

2020-01-22 17:05:37 UTC

Only absolute monarchy is gay

2020-01-22 17:13:12 UTC

@Joe The Communist meritocratic constitutional dictatorship is the best system

2020-01-22 17:14:17 UTC

There are already alot of monarchies in Europe

2020-01-22 17:14:36 UTC

Denmark, Norway, Sweden, UK, etc

No, Monarchism won't come back to Democratic counties. The only sure thing, is that Constitutional Democratic countries (UK, Netherlands, etc) won't lose their Kings/Queens, unless the Monarch is stupid enough to force the people to have him out of their country. Other forms of authoritarian systems, however, like dictatorships etc will come back to a few Democratic countries, I believe.

2020-01-22 17:28:51 UTC
2020-01-22 17:34:02 UTC

Because dictatorships suck.

2020-01-22 19:03:00 UTC

@Adam Ruins Everything communist role

2020-01-22 19:22:28 UTC

Absolute monarchy is the only monarchy that's sensical

2020-01-22 20:20:27 UTC

Netherlands... Beautiful country. I wish I could visit and get high there.

That said, only a neutered monarchy makes sense.

2020-01-22 20:21:31 UTC

If it's going to be Monarchy, it should be constitutional monarchy

2020-01-22 20:21:34 UTC

The people must assert their dominance over the state regularly. A pet king or queen is a good reminder to the actual rulers of a country that they, too, can fall from grace.

2020-01-22 23:43:52 UTC

Might return to the feudal system if a country crumbles/balkanize. Like if the boog happens here in the states, some might establish there own "kingdoms"
