People make choices and dedicate their time to what's important to them
While being simple can lead to happiness the path of perpetual education/torment is something that tempers a man’s soul into virtue.
But can you guarantee when it's all over you'll have achieved the enlightenment your looking for
I cannot
But while i am alive i will attempt to achieve enlightenment. That is true virtue
I’ll live and die by the laws of God and the Universe
And while that may seem bleak, it achieves me and others peace.
Death is often scary to some. Overwhelming. But it is a part of life that is unavoidable. So i, a man of God, embrace it with open arms simply because God gave it to us.
I am no God. I accept that, and will never act as one. I am but a man living in a vast creation which i can never truly comprehend, and i accept it.
I share that sentiment but from a different perspective
Why do you reject God?
Why do you phrase it like I reject him?
Can I not simply be of a different belief then you?
In my perspective, yes. Then assuming that you reject Christianity, why do you do so?
I was never baptized and I never agreed with the faith itself
Is that a good enough answer?
I can elaborate more if you wish
I do wish
What more do you want to know?
Why do you not agree with the faith of Christ?
Christians have always on principle been very dismissive of me
And I can't see myself signing up for that
I don't agree with a Supreme being lording his power over me if I don't do exactly as he says and at this point theres so many interprations of the Bible it seems as though nobody has an answer anyway
But as all things
It's subjective
You don't have the life experiences I do
Let me start by saying the King James Version is the most accurate English translation, as it is translated from the original greek New Testament.
It is natural for Christians to judge you, but if they dismiss you then they are at fault. Christians are meant to Judge righteous judgement of which God and Christ have given us. But any well mannered Christian would know that he must be empathetic for his fellow man, and accept him if he is willing. I’ll tell you, if you are willing to change then you are accepted. And Christ himself will accept you even if you do not change, for he forgives us of all our bearings. You may ask “Why do we judge men based upon these principles?”. The answer is that these principles have a purpose. Why do we think gays should be slaughtered? It is due to the fact that they infest and destroy morality of not just men and women, but children as well. Why do we shame upon pride? Because it leads to superiority complexes. Every single thing the Bible says has a purpose. It is not pure coincidence that Christ wants us to keep traditional beliefs. It is his will.
If you have the will to change, my friend. Then change for the better. If you want to learn more of the faith try reading of Orthodox Religion, and attempt going to an Orthodox Church once or twice.
Orthodox men are likely the most empathetic men you will ever meet. And while that may be based on bias, it is also based on Tradition.
Why is this important to you
I'm a complete stranger
Who has no bearing on your life
Who isn't looking to be saved
I have my gods and you have yours
Let's leave it at that
Because even if you are a stranger it is my moral obligation to spread the good news of Christ. @Doktor Goon Believe me or not, i am an empathetic person, and i only wish good faith upon you. And while neither you or i hold bearing on either of each others lives, it is what makes us human to spread truth, love, empathy, and all things virtuous.
So for the sake of being human, at the very least read about Orthodoxy despite me being unbeknownst to you.
This is also what I resent
We cant just talk about theology and stuff it's for some reason gotta be a ploy to get me to take the bath
