2020-02-25 12:24:13 UTC

idk about that

2020-02-25 12:24:40 UTC

anyways denying there is a god displays the lack of interest one has in the topic

2020-02-25 12:25:17 UTC

the christian god has been revealed many times but one of the earliest was the myth of er

2020-02-25 12:25:46 UTC

ofc there are some differences in the story presented by er and the actual god but thats because of the nature of the observer

**Is it better to slay those corrupted by evil or to redeem them, if possible?**

2020-02-25 21:23:35 UTC

slay it

2020-02-25 21:23:49 UTC

depends on the circustance
some evil can't be redeemed.

2020-02-25 21:23:49 UTC

Redeem

2020-02-25 21:23:52 UTC

''reedeming it'' is what got us where we are

2020-02-25 21:23:55 UTC

Convert

2020-02-25 21:24:02 UTC

convert to judaism

2020-02-25 21:24:04 UTC

@OrthoGoat baseed and true

2020-02-25 21:24:05 UTC

Evil is evil

2020-02-25 21:24:12 UTC

If all the evil would be slayed, we would all be dead

2020-02-25 21:24:25 UTC

Was Paul not redeemed?

2020-02-25 21:24:38 UTC

We all are alive because God is too merciful to destroy all the evil at once

2020-02-25 21:24:51 UTC

illogical

2020-02-25 21:24:52 UTC

@OrthoGoat If we did that all the time, Saint Augustine and St Paul would have died evil

2020-02-25 21:25:05 UTC

ok

2020-02-25 21:25:16 UTC

@21ooAB Agree

2020-02-25 21:25:25 UTC

Saint Augustine was not destructively evil but sexually immoral, with several mistresses but overcame it to become one of the most well known saints to ever live

2020-02-25 21:25:36 UTC

Yes

2020-02-25 21:25:41 UTC

we are now in a position where we can not only afford to destroy evil but must destroy it

2020-02-25 21:25:45 UTC

since evil is at an advantage

2020-02-25 21:25:56 UTC

Evil can't be redeemed, evil is the objective opposite of good. All creation is good but is corrupted by evil though, therefore redemption is the optimal answer if you rephrase your question so it makes sense

2020-02-25 21:26:08 UTC

redeeming evil is a virtue for when we are in times of great prosperity and morality

2020-02-25 21:27:34 UTC

@OrthoGoat Lets say civilization collapsed

2020-02-25 21:27:51 UTC

and a nationalist of your persuasion was helping us but did terrible things to do it

2020-02-25 21:28:50 UTC

in that case no

2020-02-25 21:29:19 UTC

but is it really evil if it ultimately ends evil?

2020-02-25 21:31:08 UTC

@OrthoGoat Like, I dunno, after decades of fighting, a broken nationalist decides that the only solution is war crimes to end it

2020-02-25 21:31:24 UTC

Firebombing of the last enclaves of undesirables

2020-02-25 21:31:28 UTC

is it better to kill him
