I don't see women as mindless drones or stupid

2020-01-16 15:42:41 UTC

I also agree it's kinda wrong to put that on a woman simply for being a woman

2020-01-16 16:00:41 UTC

How can someone assume hard work and intelligence be cooreleated with wealth, when models show that to be false - that a significant portion of wealth creation is up to chance/luck?

2020-01-16 16:00:59 UTC

So?

2020-01-16 16:01:09 UTC

Luck isn't a bad thing nor good thing it's luck

2020-01-16 16:01:17 UTC

What's wrong with something being based off chance and luck

2020-01-16 16:01:24 UTC

Everything has an aspect of luck to it

2020-01-16 16:04:16 UTC

Wealth creation should be as level a playing field as possible, any one man who is capable of it should have the tools and the opportunity to generate wealth without chaotic factors such as luck - but rather factors such as hard work, passion, and determination

2020-01-16 16:04:38 UTC
2020-01-16 16:04:43 UTC

Why should it be level or equal

2020-01-16 16:04:49 UTC

Why shouldn't it be?

2020-01-16 16:04:58 UTC

So you can't justify it?

2020-01-16 16:05:07 UTC

I can.

2020-01-16 16:05:12 UTC

I'm asking you to simply justify making money making equal or level

2020-01-16 16:07:44 UTC

It is to increase productivity, if every man was to know that they could become wealthy without leaving it to blind luck, but by working hard with passion and determination - every man would work much harder, increasing productivity. Coupled alongside with the disillusionment of the middle and working class today with the upper classes, a renewed model based on hardwork and determination, rather than luck - would make the middle and working classes less spiteful and disillusioned.

2020-01-16 16:14:58 UTC

Can you show evidence it increases productivity @Maksim

2020-01-16 16:15:07 UTC

I'd like to agree with you, if you have evidence

2020-01-16 16:15:18 UTC

its common sense lol

2020-01-16 16:15:35 UTC

@Deleted User It's an argumentative position.

2020-01-16 16:17:12 UTC

To claim that it is automatically false without evidence in this case would be intellectually dishonest, it's an argument that is made. The position is we should try this.

2020-01-16 16:19:57 UTC

Also common sense.

2020-01-16 16:34:45 UTC

what even is common sense?

2020-01-16 16:34:48 UTC

don't go there please

2020-01-16 16:35:03 UTC

I actually agree with you, but how would we prove that this makes workers work better? @Maksim

2020-01-16 16:35:09 UTC

has there been tests done? expirements?

2020-01-16 16:35:15 UTC

maybe some nations have employed this?

2020-01-16 16:49:46 UTC

Empiricism is invalid and unnecessary to prove something as sensical as this
People work because they want the ends they will receive by working (wealth)
If you ensure that the wealth they accumilate by working accelerates as they work more intensly, of course it will incentivize them

2020-01-16 16:49:56 UTC

Again, it's argumentative, we should try it instead of dismissing it on the basis of "it hasn't been tried yet"

2020-01-16 16:51:14 UTC

Basic logic can be used here.

2020-01-16 16:51:45 UTC

Money incentivices people, that's nothing new.

2020-01-16 18:25:35 UTC

the article literally says that some dudes created some game where they put different events in through algorithm and different skills to people.

2020-01-16 18:26:06 UTC

it's a pretty shite job but it makes for a killer headline for losers who will indulge in not blaming themselves.

2020-01-16 18:26:48 UTC

there's empirical data that successful people share a lot of traits as well as successful companies share similar habits and traits.

2020-01-16 18:27:17 UTC

But hey it's easier to create a game and say you see you just need luck or smth

2020-01-16 18:27:38 UTC

@Ater Votum My point still stands

2020-01-16 18:32:32 UTC

isn't your point alluding to the opinion that the article is true?

2020-01-16 18:33:15 UTC

The productive and successful people will know their ''luck'' depends on how much they push themselves to be the best they can be.

2020-01-16 18:34:06 UTC

if a person has a cultural or personal mentality that he is not in charge and will resort to ''luck'' he let's go of possibility to gain greater wealth as well as to be as productive as possible to society as he can.

workers control of the means of production
