bosniaks are not slavic lol
compare the dna of a native bosnian to that of slavs
They're mixed with Serbians, Croatians, Turks, Albanians and Slovenians, therefore their DNA is mixed, but they're mostly Slavs.
And native Bosnians __are__ Slavs.
Again, google genetic make up of a native bosnian, and compare it to that of a slav
Again, Bosniaks are identified as Slavs.
It's a mere fact.
> A race is a grouping of humans based on shared physical or social qualities into categories generally viewed as distinct by society.[1] The term was first used to refer to speakers of a common language and then to denote national affiliations. By the 17th century the term began to refer to physical (phenotypical) traits. Modern scholarship regards race as a social construct, an identity which is assigned based on rules made by society. While partially based on physical similarities within groups, race does not have an inherent physical or biological meaning.[1][2]
"Compare Bosniak DNA to Slavic DNA! Bosniaks aren't Slavs!1!"
lol race denialism?
I reject that, but what you sent doesn't rebut anything I've said
And race does have a genetic component
Lol if you take the DNA of a Russian and a Serbian they won't be the same. If they were the same, then by Russian and Serbian we would refer to the people living in Russia and Serbia respectively, and call them all Slavs anyway. But since they aren't, we do call them Slavs, and we recognize them as different ethnical groups.
there's a different in small variants in DNA make up, and huge variance in DNA make up
My point is, Bosniaks are considered as Slavs due to genetical, cultural, ethnical, and more reasons than their DNA. After all, race is partially based on physical similarities within groups, and not entirely biological ones.
false
Slav is an ethnic term
thus its determined by their genetic
s
and they deduce the genetic make up by examining the dna of someone native in a certain country
Even if they were an ethnic term, South Slavs' genetic is very different from the Northern Slavs' genetic, since the Northern ones have mixed with Nordic, Germanic, even Asian people, and the Southern ones have mixed with Illyrians, Italians, Albanians, Greeks, Turks and Arabs. So yeah, comparing the current genetic status of Bosnians to the current genetic status of Russians would be illogical.
After all, Bosnians mixed with Albanians and Turks more than the other Balkan people, since they're mostly Muslim.
i didnt say russians, kid
I said slavs
Compare bosnian dna to serbian dna
or Croatian dna
its very peculiar
mainly because they mixed both with western europeans and turks
hence not making them slavic
As you wish, adult. Bosnians mixed with Albanians and Turks more because they were and still are, muslims. Serbians and Croatians mixed more with other Southern Slavs, Italians and Greeks. Therefore, religion played a huge role into the genetic development of 21st century Southern Slavs. So yes, they are darker than the average Slavic person, congratulations. That doesn't mean that Bosniaks aren't Slavs. After all, today, all of us are mixed, and especially the people originating from the Balkans.
Also as I mentioned before, it's not only your DNA which makes you a Slav.
Everything except the last 2 sentences was irrelevant there. You like to talk in paragraphs while not conveying a single coherent point, i see
I'll take a bath and brb
Yeah okay cool argument yes.
What was the cause of the genetic development is irrelevant to the genetic development
Bosniaks being mixed with turks and some western europeans, does in fact mean they aren't slavs, since their genetic make up is not in line with the general genetic make up of a slav
Let it be a serb, croat, macedonian, or a russian
"A Y chromosome haplogroups study published in 2005 found that "three main groups of Bosnia-Herzegovina, in spite of some quantitative differences, share a large fraction of the same ancient gene pool distinctive for the Balkan area". The study did however find that Serbs and Bosniaks are genetically closer to each other than either of them is to Croats.[1]"
it was literally a single google away
As I have said multiple times, but you keep omitting it, **being a Slav doesn't mean having a specific genetic status,** because Slavs are Indo-European people who speak the many Slavic languages of the larger Balto-Slavic linguistic group. The Bosnians do belong on this group. After all, here's a map of all the officially recognized Slavic countries:
So even if the Bosniak genetic status is unaligned with the Serbian and Croatian one, that doesn't mean they're not Slavs.
