Do you know what the credit boom is?

2019-12-25 07:37:34 UTC

yeah

2019-12-25 07:37:36 UTC

kinda

2019-12-25 07:37:56 UTC

Like the whole thing pensions etc.

2019-12-25 07:38:16 UTC

basically, if you subtract debt from profit you realize that shit isnt anywhere NEAR what its being sold at

2019-12-25 07:38:26 UTC

Tax dollars used for pensions go into to credit funds and all that shit?

2019-12-25 07:38:31 UTC

yeah

2019-12-25 07:39:49 UTC

So you know how people's pension money is being used to artificially inflate stock prices with buyouts

2019-12-25 07:40:09 UTC

Make them worth more than actual evaluation

2019-12-25 07:40:42 UTC

im familiar with the concept

2019-12-25 07:41:23 UTC

its similar to how companies are valued at high prices while not actually posting very high profits in relation to thier debts

2019-12-25 07:42:08 UTC

if you subtract what a company owes from its actual profits you quickly realise that there is a huge discrepancy between stock market value and actual value

2019-12-25 07:42:42 UTC

so, if you say i got $50, and am selling 50 shares at $1 a pop, vut I owe $40, and am actually only really worth $10

2019-12-25 07:43:25 UTC

Basically, the trend has seen the people who manage these pensions decreasing the low yielding cash in favor of high risk credit investments

2019-12-25 07:43:40 UTC

These has been going on for last ten

2019-12-25 07:43:42 UTC

yeah, similar to the 2007 real estate crash

2019-12-25 07:43:44 UTC

Especially 5

2019-12-25 07:43:46 UTC

Years

2019-12-25 07:44:34 UTC

I can claim I'm a fortune 500 company, but if 70% of my worth is loans given to people who have zero chance of ever paying, shits gonna fall apart

2019-12-25 07:45:20 UTC

Well the companies usually don't go under (usually)

2019-12-25 07:45:29 UTC

of COURSE not

2019-12-25 07:45:41 UTC

profits are private, losses are public

2019-12-25 07:46:04 UTC

they get a taxpayer funded bailout and keep going, they get richer and we get poorer

2019-12-25 07:46:54 UTC

Yeah exactly

2019-12-25 07:47:29 UTC

theres a REASON "they" are all buying up property in new zealand

2019-12-25 07:47:38 UTC

and putting money in swiss accounts

2019-12-25 07:47:51 UTC

they are preparing to suddenly not be american anymore

2019-12-25 07:48:14 UTC

But I've noticed something that i never really paid attention to before when watching a discussion on the retirement crisis

2019-12-25 07:48:22 UTC

"I'm not with them, I'm just a wacky eccentric millionaire expat in NZ! NOTHING TO SEE HERE!"

2019-12-25 07:48:49 UTC

They like to zero in on particular industry

2019-12-25 07:50:06 UTC

1990s- WorldCom and Enron
Then it was subprime housing
From 2009-2013 it was energy companies

2019-12-25 07:50:33 UTC

yeah, the "green energy boom" built 100% off of subsidies

2019-12-25 07:50:44 UTC

Now they're doing it with commerical real estate

2019-12-25 07:51:17 UTC

you wanna know a funny thing that has alerted me to things not being so good at the top?

2019-12-25 07:51:24 UTC

i always wanted to fly

2019-12-25 07:51:31 UTC

i watch aircraft sales

2019-12-25 07:51:40 UTC

Aircrafts are an investment

2019-12-25 07:51:55 UTC

They just go up in value

2019-12-25 07:51:56 UTC

right now you can buy really, really nice aircraft for less than a new pickup truck

2019-12-25 07:52:13 UTC

aircraft are white elephants

2019-12-25 07:52:35 UTC

you can easily spend as much keeping them airworthy as the sales price per year
