And included will be a defense and statement of purpose for what we do in CrackLife. It reminds me of this quote from a horror movie called Jacob's Ladder: "If you're afraid of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the world. It all depends on how you look at it." (this quote was basically a guy paraphrasing the teachings of Meister Eckhart, a German Christian mystic from the 15th century). What we do on CrackLife is exactly that: we burn the Spiritual deadwood (people's attachments to the Ephemeral and not the Eternal). When in Purgatory, one's sins are "burned away" and only the Eternal Truths, which are good, remain - allowing the one in Purgatory to ascend to Heaven.
Would you ever recommend someone be offended by something? No... I recommend invulnerability and Eternity, which can never be killed through the medium of speech. In particular, it is through speech that we can confront anomalies and not have our body's die.... The Spirit is very much like a phoenix and it's being burned away by cruelty means it is reborn possessing only those Truths worth having.
