Australian School Terms last about 12 weeks, with two weeks break in between. With the exception of the end of the year, where the break is 6 weeks.

One School Year has 4 Terms.

So it's more time in holidays before Christmas holidays, right?

Kind of. The School Year Ends in mid december, and starts in the end of the following January.

With summer holidays it's a 3 months holiday, so you forget school

The rape scene was fucked up

but thats not why the film is amazing

Altough arguably rape scenes are usually done quite poorly in movies

or unnecessary

It's the way the set everything up in miniture arcs and build everything up while connecting it to the main focal point

Even basic stuff like his daughter going to christian summer camp had purpose

It was a well made movie
