plane building was relaxing
@Tea send them furry suits for their birthday
i actually found a model shop in my town the other day and i *almost* bought one to do
but i'm too busy
so maybe once my exams are done i'll go get one
@Potato Man This is why you're a lad. Going to send them some furry books, bet my Uncle thanks me
@Jim I seen one of a ship of the line, I really wanted it but it would take a long time.
Was too big but it was gorgeous, having to do all the rigging
I've always wanted to do a ship so that I'd have one
but i don't fancy the process of building it
buildin models has really tailed off as a hobby tbh
tbh i probably am retarded in some way, but i haven't been diagnosed and don't plan to be so <:YEET:437238618608762900> i aint one of those freaks for real yet
think vidya games nuked that shid
aye
probably
A lot of kids in this generation won't pickit up. Why hobby shops are shutting down
definitely
A lot of them have shut down.
my pal still works in a hobby shop like
but model building is really relaxing, i enjoyed it but then i started enjoying other things and having a job n shit so it was time
board games took off again, recently, for various reasons, perhaps the same will happen with model building
warhammer is on the rise
Most board games have an online version or app version now
Nont sitting playing it
i do ww2 modelling
Eh I play boardgames sometimes
kids do do it
Not saying they don't. I'm saying it's heavily died off.
boardgames are coming back actually
i think people realised that an actual physical board game compared to a computer game is a lot like the difference between reading books and talking to people vs. watching a tv show and using social media
yea
Boardgames got me through my childhood.
Digital copies don't let you make house rules, so I usually prefer the physical versions.
Played a lot of monopoly when I was younger.
also, people can make their own board games and have their prototypes built much more cheaply, now
the golden age of PC games in the mid 90s got me through my childhood
so there's new ones popping up
best boardgames are Dead of Winter, 7 Wonders, Monopoly, and Betrayal at the House on the Hill
Ruger it got me through large parts of my late childhood and early adulthood
When I first got a PC, I got all the older 90s game because they were cheap
