Thats um lovely Sweater
nah its just you dont fuck one chip and you are the master of oc now and anyone can do it somehow with no issues
when ive seen plenty of parts fry out premature
when did i say anyone can do it somehow with no issues
@Limmat would you oc a 1080
you implied no worries to oc and its normal to do with any k processor cause reasons
Just get your gpu stock overclocked
probably not cuz i'd get plenty of performance out of it
why would you overclock a 1080
Anyway i am taking no chances with my next build, getting a cit case with 6 fans and buying a watercooler for my cpu.
well it kinda is, that's what intel turbo is
>gets watercooler
> leaks over new gpu
Wait so hold on
isn't 6 fans and a water cooler a tad overkill?
aye, spork's got it, if you wanna really overclock, get it OEM or Manufacturer OC'd
Its already stock OC'd
@TheBigMandont even jinx it
the difference in oc isnt worth the risk to the processor
And you OC'd it more?
Oooooooooof
and over time it wears it out
3.6 is the stock on mine, 4.3 is the boost clock, 4.7 is my OC
then he killed himself
*over time*
Founders edition if for nerds anyway @Potato Man
My room gets hot in the summer i dont want to risk overheating.
its like putting a turbo on a car..... if the engine wasnt turbod from the factory its bad for it over time even when its stable
you wear out parts
Do you not live by yourself potato? could you not simply turn the AC on?
@sweatercowsandsass CPU's come with profiles that you access in the bios, usually called 'boost' which is essentially a manufacturer approved OC
^
@The Last MethBender while you’re at it, toss it in the fridge just in case
@Potato Man yep, i am aware
But still
we arent talking about those
just be rich and buy new parts when old ones break lmao
Usually it's only like 10% though.
yah its 10% max
Its a glass case with 6 fans
If your CPU has a K and your mobo supports it the OC it if you wish. If you want an OC’d gpu just get a 3rd party one
