i'll tell you why people don't put up with it. it's because a AAA studio with access to hundreds of millions of dollars and a huge talent pool has no excuse for early access (unless they're using it as a sort of living demo) and has no excuse for releasing an unfinished product. a small studio where they're taking a huge risk on a new idea or new IP without a publisher and no investors can release a work in progress as proof of concept and allow people to support them finishing the game. these games are usually also not priced the same as a AAA game. AAA studios want to release shit products for more money than people have ever paid for games previous, that's why people are not okay with it
