I mean that wouldn't be a horrendous issue if they could inject to bring it up to scratch but.....they didn't @Alphamonkey
why did they leave a dev room in their live game and expect nobody to find out
You dinnae ken greatness until you've hud that
Or I'll bitch slap you with my noodle legs
@Tea Go sleep
Sleeeeeeep
...yeah
nah, leaving a dev room in the final game still doesn't beat forgetting deltatime on the character movement vector.
thats like A grade idiocy
That's what made people with higher fps move faster right?
yes
@Jim yah its dumb. but they thought they had it locked down harder than that. they also had a system in place that marked anyone entering it so its not 100% bad
but overall its shitty
@Cammy Probably a safe bet

@coattailsandbowties a vector is added to the characters location every frame, which moves it the world. if the vector has a fixed number then the more frames the faster you move. This is where deltatime comes in, your movement vector numbers are now set to an amount that would equal say 1 metre per second. you then multiply the vector by deltatime effectively dividing the 1m/s between the fps, so the vectors numbers will scale based on fps and always maintain 1m/s speed regardless of fps.
