My mam (and since I was in single digits my mam was the only household earner) made enough to put 3 kids through private school and maintain a mortgage, but weren't frivolous except for special occasions. I went to school with kids who got cars with vanity plates for their 17th birthdays and went on termly holidays to the Caribbean and got in the region of £100 a week from their parents, so my idea of *rich* isn't me.

Where I went to school I was considered further towards poor without being one of the foundationers (church kids who get free tuition) because I'd managed a hefty scholarship and didn't get insane amounts of money or extravagant gifts for birthdays or holidays halfway around the world every other month. So sure my idea of what classes as rich is different to someone who didn't get that opportunity i get that
