what brings money
and idk how much longer they'll be able to afford not datamining their customers
My vm isn’t too bad, it takes a while starting the simulator the first time though
Which is money, which is the market
Tbh I think you are right jackie, with the recent price increase less people were buying, so they might drop the price and start mining
yeah
Are anyone of you actually going to buy new Purism Librem 5 phone?
what brings money? convincing idiots they need a phone that costs over a grand
@Jim On Intel systems it's ok for stuff like xcode but on Ryzen it's completely unusable
@RawRanger depends on how it is when it comes out
Oof
Thanks I had my crack team of Chinese animators up all night working on it
i think the iphone is on its way out tbh, like its had its hay day, its stagnant now
yeah it kinda scares me though
google will then have a monopoly on mobile OS too
Apple would get so much more clout if they opened up to more cosmetic customization. Like its hilarious how pointless they locked it down, can't even change the icons or animations
nah
complete disagree
Not to mention they are not wanting other outside sources repairing apple products.
well its not really a monopoly if its open source like
but it's not
base android is
but the version that ships with all the phones aint
like its just linux
Can't change your keyboard, can't order your apps as freely, its dumb
Google Services
🤢
I don’t think customisation drives sales tbh. The premium price point puts more people off.
^
Dont most Phone manufactuors make they own closed source version of android
and muck it up lol
Kai OS
then dont update it
for real when i think about the future at nights i picture a dystopian cyberpunk like world where google rose to world dominance through capitalism
i just don't like how much control of information google has
yea the iphone was basically just a goldilocks effect market manipulation, selling an average device at twice the markup
That is true I suppose, iphones were always "premium" first but now they are too much so, it just wouldn't hurt attracting a different userbase to it.
Like 99% of the stuff I jailbroke my old phone for was for cosmetic stuff
problem also is that iphone's have never been more popular
