Comparing ISIS to the American right is absurd
🤔
Since religious fundementalism is a conservative thing, and conservatism is seen as on the right
I'm not saying the American right
just the right in general
Radical muslims are radical traditionalists
he has a point
I'd say it's more religious than political though
Yes
But ofcourse religion gets intertwined with politics
And I would say advocating for religion or at least religious values is something right wing
If you look at the definitions, yes it is right wing, but only in the sense that they are interpreting certain verses in the Qua'ran and carrying them out in the name of Allah
It's hardly political
Sure, it's traditionalism
Like, women should cover up, we shouldn't be "degenerate", that sort of attitude, that is not something you hear the left say
The right doesn't say that either.
Many do
well
some do
I mean, they do in many places
among American youth
I'm against the blatant sexualisation of our society, making this whole culture of open sex and ""degeneracy"" a normal thing - look at porn websites, 20 years ago Cuckolding and Incest porns were not nearly as popular.
And are you a right winger
That's different from getting women to cover up.
I am, however, opposed to women walking around with their tits out
I mean, don't many american school have rules where you can't expose your shoulders?
I have no idea.
I'm pretty sure they do, especially in more religious states
Depends on the school
I mean, I'm opposed to people being "slutty", or basically behaving like prostitutes
Well it's not specifically you
But lots of right wingers (referring to conservatives here) are against what they would call "sexual degeneracy"
Now making a law saying that women should cover up fully (burqa) is just a very extreme version of that
I'd say that's more with what folks would call alt right
Conservatives are very scared of saying things like "degenerate"
I disagree, from my standpoint, "sexual degeneracy" refers to non-traditional sexual acts such as cuckolding or incest.
Which have, to be honest, been normalised a lot over the last decade
I'm fine with people doing whatever they want in the bedroom, but not so fine with the normalisation of some of these questionable practices
Sure but they may not say it but again they do advocate for those policies on schools
that you can't wear very short skirts or revealing clothes
