Just because something is worse in other countries doesn't mean it's not a problem
I got the shit kicked out of me for being trans when I was in high school
There's still violence people face just for being who they are
how old are you?
20
seemms like you grew up in a shitty place if that happened.
but if you grew up here, that wouldn't have happened.
What if you needed that bullying for being trans
in fact, if you grew up in many many places here in the U.S. it woulda never happened.
Except it does
And when we talk about it we get called whiny libtards
Rightfully so tbh
I have a question
Why do you people seemingly despise the lgbt community
There's no seemingly about it
But why
I mean,
You are a degenerative influence on society and parade around your mental illnesses and hedonistic lifestyles with pride. It's nothing short of disgusting
When you're acting as if a problem in select communities is the same throughout the entire country,
It becomes a nuisance
When in fact, harassment and singling people out because of their sexual orientation is already illegal
Rape is also illegal
Yes and sadly it still happens.
Laws don't mean much
And people are stupid.
Do you think they don't realize rape is illegal?
Or do you think if they're reminded of it they'll be like "ohh, it's bad? Well dammn. I'm so sorry I brutally raped someone"
No, but we can stop acting like it's a small isolated thing
Nobody should be attacked for being who they are. But when it's already against the law and everyone knows harassment and violence is wrong, all we can do is be aware and be ready to go after them legally and speak out
?
But to act like it's some crisis everywhere, when in many places it just doesn't happen,
That's the part that annoys me
"Nobody should be attacked for being who they are" lol
It does in most parts of the US
I live in Ohio
ayyyyyyye Ohio
And overall atleast in the US, this discussion isn't hurting anyone
Yeah but too many of these "discussions" act like these issues are all horrible and the same everywhere you go, and it becomes fear mongering
Sorta like when you got the African American community claiming they're so afraid of cops because a black person got shot in some city that's almost all the way across the country
people are just creating unreal viewpoints of the country.
Well a lot of these problems are glossed over in the mainstream media
