He's imperialistic and the example given is Syria. Lets say the government DID carry out chemical weapons attacks on their own citizens. Is it imperialistic to show that government that attacking their own citizens in such a way will not be tolerated and you will defend those citizens if need be?
Yes but the chemical attacks didn't happen
Can you prove that?
It's a claim so it doesn't seem like he's attacking Syria for no reason
Hol up
So he's following in Obamas footsteps in regards to Syria
But while I'm searching
I wanna know what do you think of Assad
Even if you don't like him you gotta agree he's a necessary figure right?
If Assad is behind these attacks, he is trash.
Good thing he isnt
The rebels stage a lot of shit
The 2013 attacks were proven to be carried out by rebels
I saw a pic of a boy bleeding on the ground but in another pic I saw him standing by a dead chicken
But yes, overthrowing a government or leader without making sure that leadership is replaced so things don't fall apart, is bad.
Replacing leadership is as bad if not worse than leaving a vacuum
So if Trump is behind faking these attacks in order to overthrow a government for his own benefit, he is imperialistic. Issue being that you would need solid evidence that Trump is behind it and attempting to act in the best interest of those who are victim to such attacks.
No one is alleging that Trump is behind the chemical attack
Then it's being alleged that he knows the Syrian government isn't behind it but wants Assad out anyways. Got proof of that?
That's also not being alleged.
Then how exactly is he imperialistic
He isn't, I believe Sokol misspoke
Well that's what I'm referring to in my messages meant for Sokol.
I know they were for Sokol but you were putting allegations in his mouth
Then Sokol can respond and clarify
I'm gonna take my time finding that proof sorry but on that. I believe it's very possible that some country (perhaps Israel or Saudi Arabia) came up with the chemical attacks and Trump could be mislead
That would make more sense to me, Sokol
I wouldn't call him imperialistic then
I mean he was very enthusiastic about fixing relations with Russia
Syrias greatest ally
No president is always going to make the right choices, because all presidents are only human. And if he is being misled on that, hopefully he will realize it before more damage is done.
Not saying wrong choices should be accepted
ok first of all assad destroyed his chemical weapon arsenal in 2013 because the un and usa said so
this is just a fact
so unless he made more
which is unlikely then he had none to begin with
I don't trust the whole Syrian situation either, to be honest with you
also assad is winning the war plain and simple
why would he risk backlash from the international community
just so he can gas his own people
