that
not
welfare
FDR did this exact thing 😂
because they werent hurting or in a financial crissis
this is just helping his fam
Obama did it
and it was successful, when he bailed out GM, i was against it for free market reasons but for it for competitions and jobs reasons, It wasnt a free market issue though it was corruption by bad management, the new GM is running just fine. Worth the investment, and it was paid back.
🤦
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Economic benefits have outweighed that loss
its not even close
it saved Michigan
1.5M jobs might outweigh it, it may not, but there's no excuse to be made for losing 12B$ from this bail out
That's a shit ton of money
we could have forced them to pay the full amount, that was obama croney's short selling still have to look at the big picture
just...……………. 😤
whatever man
I dont doubt you are a patriot man! I tend to look at things on a case by case basis, and not try to make sweeping generalizations
honestly i dont remember going at it with someone in a while so this was good, regardless of our thoughts and opinions
it frustrates me to talk trade with "conservatives" who believe in protectionism. Thats not what a conservative is.
conservativism is a broader spectrum than you think
not really
the outside of it is populism
which isn't conservatism by any stretch of the imagination
It's more rooted in a left leaning ideology than anything else really
Conservativism spans from liberalism to libertarianism
with socialism left of liberalism, and anarchy right of libertarianism
and communism and facism even further left than socialism
Ancaps would be the right of libertarianism
Populists though
they're left-wing fiscally, but right-wing on cultural issues as Le Pen and other populists in Europe demonstrate
Which on culture issues, they thrive on
Its all about the culture wars to them
Its how Trump thrived as well
