and in a free market healthcare system
Your hospital bill isn't fixed
there would be companies showing their prices
and everyone would follow
neither is airfaire
The prices vary on the operation or prescription.
Thats a Big "If"
Fixing the price for your hospital bill isn't easy
If something strange happens, then you'll have to pay more
"something strange"
But it's gotten to a point where they charge higher for ridiculous things
Yeah, something strange
My mom literally got some bills from the hospital about her foot. And she dumbed down the price from 95$ to 25$. The hospital tried to be a bit scummy. But she found errors and accomplished that.
Because we are not in a free market
dude
it's lke that because there is regulations being added every year
Prices have been rising since the 60s
And most people can't down the price like your mom can
Anon what is your point you are trying to prove
I'm saying that hospitals will still charge high no matter how free the market is
Because they are literally saving your life
They can charge what ever the fuck they want
It is a private buisness
Like most hospitals
Is that right?
Is that moral?
Yes
Its a buisness
Business sells shit
They can sell it for whatever they want
@Anon365 Because
there isn't
a free market
But the consumers don't know the price
you keep pointing to US has the evidence
it is not a free market
They're uncertain about it
Why would the companies fix the price if their profit will be still high?
Under free healthcare, hospitals won't be able to cripple you in debt
The reason why they don't know the price of hospital bills, is because it is measured by condition, treatment, and resources used.
