That whole crackpot theory of dumping all the Jews into Israel to trigger Rapture is a very young idea

Right after WW2, the Southern Baptists felt bad for the Jews, so they gave up on their ancient theology that identified Christians as the heirs of Israel, and retconned it to say "nope its always been the jews"
