he only used it for power

2019-02-28 00:43:27 UTC

Forced conversion is in no way a Christian thing

2019-02-28 00:43:55 UTC

Christians tend to convert people

2019-02-28 00:44:07 UTC

We have seen that in the Americas and Africa

2019-02-28 00:47:19 UTC

By the way, the age of a book can make it less reasonable

2019-02-28 00:47:46 UTC

I personally wouldn't trust a book about the universe that was made 1,000 years ago

2019-02-28 00:48:13 UTC

That isn't an argument though

2019-02-28 00:48:40 UTC

The age of something has little to do with it's validity especially when we know how reliable the Bible is

2019-02-28 00:49:47 UTC

The bible would definitely be a lot more different had it been written today

2019-02-28 00:50:15 UTC

Certain parts at least

2019-02-28 00:50:19 UTC

well clearly

2019-02-28 00:50:33 UTC

It would adjust to the culture yes

2019-02-28 00:50:47 UTC

So the names, places, and customs might change.

2019-02-28 00:50:50 UTC

There have been advances in science

2019-02-28 00:51:08 UTC

That would change some of the writings

2019-02-28 00:51:57 UTC

like?

2019-02-28 00:52:11 UTC

Maybe the way god created the universe would be different

2019-02-28 00:52:30 UTC

It might incorporate the big bang

2019-02-28 00:53:12 UTC

That's speculation

2019-02-28 00:53:17 UTC

that isn't a criticism at all

2019-02-28 00:53:43 UTC

I was raised non religious read half the Bible and lost to much iq to finish

2019-02-28 00:53:51 UTC

It is likely that many of the things would change due to science

2019-02-28 00:54:16 UTC

But Anon that is again not an actual criticism of it's validity

2019-02-28 00:55:14 UTC

My point is that the bible was made when many people believed in things that we would call "Crazy" today.

2019-02-28 00:57:00 UTC

Some of these beliefs probably influenced the bible

2019-02-28 00:57:50 UTC

Anon are you ever going to provide a real criticism of the Bible?

2019-02-28 00:59:39 UTC

That's my criticism. The bible was written by people who believed in things that we would call "crazy" today. Many of the things in the bible are likely influenced by these crazy beliefs. This undermines its credibility.

2019-02-28 01:01:41 UTC

Christianity teaches slave morality

2019-02-28 01:01:51 UTC

And it's globalist in nature

2019-02-28 01:02:04 UTC

there is two sound criticisms

2019-02-28 01:02:21 UTC

Not really if you don't have an objective moral basis of your own

2019-02-28 01:02:30 UTC

and that ignores a lot of the reasonings for this

2019-02-28 01:02:41 UTC

someone clearly has not read Revelation

2019-02-28 01:02:58 UTC

Hello

2019-02-28 01:03:01 UTC

How you guys doing

2019-02-28 01:03:30 UTC

@Obungus bible big fake news change my mind

2019-02-28 01:03:47 UTC

Provide me with your primary criticism

2019-02-28 01:04:10 UTC

It was written by people who believed in crazy things

2019-02-28 01:04:21 UTC

not you anon

2019-02-28 01:04:23 UTC

I do not deny the entire bible, but most of the stories are made by those who wrote it

2019-02-28 01:04:42 UTC

@Obungus Do you honestly think that the Red Sea was actually parted
