"I don't want to spend enough to buy a new gun just to swap optics."
>buy $550 gun
>buy $550 slide to change optics
Brilliant.

Anyone care to explain why the $70 MOS (plus loctite and maybe better screws) isn't a good idea in the face of $500 system?

HOE-VID 19 😫😫

People mostly dislike the MOS because the mount sits too high and the fit with the mounting plates isn’t good with some sights

2020-03-20 11:06:09 UTC

I already had a gen 4, so cut and coat was only 175

2020-03-20 11:13:24 UTC

@Red Korvo get an MOS and then save up to get an Agency optics system cut done on it if you’re that price sensitive

2020-03-20 11:27:07 UTC

Are the Agency plates really that much better?

2020-03-20 11:28:09 UTC

@All UCP Everything does anyone make better plates? I wouldn't mind getting a slightly more expensive third party MOS plate for a new optic.

2020-03-20 11:30:54 UTC

Yeah, I think CH precision is the name of the aftermarket plate company

2020-03-20 11:58:54 UTC

I’m surprised you aren’t doing a p80

2020-03-20 12:03:45 UTC

I would do a P80, but I want something that has a higher guarantee of reliability. I know P80s are fine but this will be my one gun that has to work, since it will be my CCW. I won't fuck with it either, all the critical parts are staying stock. My AR is pretty damn reliable so at this point it doesn't worry me too much but I figured I should have one weapon that was built and checked by people who do it for a living. My 10/22 was but.... it's a .22 LR. As we all know, that's way too deadly and should be considered a WMD. Too cruel to use that on Jamal.

2020-03-20 12:34:29 UTC

If select fire was easy to get I would consider a 22lr minigun for my home defense weapon

2020-03-20 12:34:50 UTC

Select fire is easy to get 😏

2020-03-20 12:35:52 UTC

I mean like Walmart level of easy to get for a minigun

2020-03-20 12:35:53 UTC

There are plans for making a 10/22 full auto. Also crank triggers don't qualify as full auto, so go to town.

2020-03-20 12:36:58 UTC

I don’t give a single fuck about a full auto 22 for home defense unless it is specifically a minigun

2020-03-20 12:37:30 UTC

22 has awful reliability, you need something with external power for feeding and ejection to make it worth a fuck for home defense

2020-03-20 12:46:35 UTC

You own a drill don’t you 🤔

2020-03-20 12:47:50 UTC

Just get a holosun

2020-03-20 12:47:57 UTC

Same footprint as the rmr

2020-03-20 12:48:08 UTC

So you can upgrade down the line

2020-03-20 12:49:01 UTC

Also you’re retarded if you replace the whole slide after you break an optic, which you won’t do unless you’re being a fucking monkey

2020-03-20 12:49:02 UTC

Probably will but still no point in milling a slide since they're fitted to the optic.

2020-03-20 12:49:38 UTC

So put another of the same optic on

2020-03-20 12:50:11 UTC

2020-03-20 12:50:23 UTC

You don't understand what "fitted to the optic" means then. They measure your specific optic and cut your slide to its tolerances. The fit is nearly perfect. It won't work with other optics.

2020-03-20 12:50:36 UTC

Let me let you in on a little secret

2020-03-20 12:50:47 UTC

It fucking will as long as it has the same footprint

2020-03-20 12:50:55 UTC

Ask me how I know

2020-03-20 12:51:08 UTC

I’m having an optic milled right now and they definitely don’t do that

2020-03-20 12:51:24 UTC

Sure but the fit won't be as good or it will be too small.

2020-03-20 12:51:37 UTC

Bruh

2020-03-20 12:51:46 UTC

Did you give them your optic @All UCP Everything?

2020-03-20 12:52:02 UTC

You are like the definition of a dude who reads too much on the internet and has no experience

2020-03-20 12:52:12 UTC

Optics aren’t hand made artisan products, they’re mass manufactured

2020-03-20 12:52:53 UTC

There’s going to be so little difference in dimensions that it won’t matter at all

2020-03-20 12:53:02 UTC

Do they measure each specific aimpoint T2 and fit it to the exact fucking scalarworks mount you use?

2020-03-20 12:54:18 UTC

>he didn’t pay extra dor the handfitted t2 from scalar

2020-03-20 12:54:20 UTC

I’ve swapped between several rmrs and they all fit nice and tight in my milled gun

2020-03-20 12:54:21 UTC

2020-03-20 12:54:33 UTC

Feels bad being a poorfag

2020-03-20 12:55:20 UTC

Is a solution like a unity atom 2.0 or an agency AOS better? Sure but you’re gonna pay for it.
