Most Democrats are not Socialists. They are overwhelmingly right of center. There is a considerable and growing group within the Democratic Party that exhibits an affinity for many Socialist principles and even a considerable number of Socialists that vote Democrat in the same way that Libertarians find themselves in the Republican camp. Democrats could find themselves turning more and more Socialist in the future, but as of right now they almost all totally embrace Capitalism and just have weird ideas about the importance of social issues.
