you can support an agency that does, but only if the warrant was granted legally and through proper justification to do so

2018-08-07 16:02:17 UTC

Isn't NSA mainly for foreign, and FBI for domestic

2018-08-07 16:08:53 UTC

probably not a good idea to do it, so I guess I'll leave it

2018-08-07 16:09:00 UTC

Aw

2018-08-07 16:09:06 UTC

K fine I will lmao

2018-08-07 16:09:09 UTC

but itll be private

2018-08-07 16:09:34 UTC

It shouldn't be violating anything, all it's doing is taking public posts and storing them into one place

2018-08-07 16:09:43 UTC

that's technically just a widespread subscriber feed

2018-08-07 16:25:23 UTC

@Deleted User Hello there

2018-08-07 17:19:39 UTC

@Donaldus Triumphus "cover fake news" as in show us the stuff or include lies?

2018-08-07 17:20:12 UTC

Includes lies

2018-08-07 17:20:35 UTC

So basically should freedom of the press protect lies

2018-08-07 17:21:10 UTC

got it, thenks

2018-08-07 17:21:20 UTC

I think it shouldn't because if freedom of speech doesn't protect hate speech, why should freedom of the press protect lies

2018-08-07 17:21:55 UTC

lies are protected speech

2018-08-07 17:22:04 UTC

"hate speech" included

2018-08-07 17:22:28 UTC

Uhm. I'm not sure you understand how news is meant to work

2018-08-07 17:22:49 UTC

Exactly what don't I understand?

2018-08-07 17:25:32 UTC

If lets say a reporter publishes false information about a specific allegation, incident in their report about something or someone, they should issue a retraction

2018-08-07 17:25:44 UTC

News is meant to just "cover events" in the sense that, for example: a kid gets shot in the head, so you say that "a kid got shot in the head". NOT a kid drowned in the toilet, when reporting on the same person's death. On is obviously a lie

2018-08-07 17:25:46 UTC

You lie but shoukd you be able to make money off it no

2018-08-07 17:26:11 UTC

@Deleted User That's fair

2018-08-07 17:26:31 UTC

People affected by these lies should be able to take the money that they earn from these "people"

2018-08-07 17:26:43 UTC

@An Elbow The antidote to that is called a "retraction"

2018-08-07 17:26:57 UTC

Tighten libel

2018-08-07 17:27:22 UTC

@IИVДLID CЯΞДΓIФИ There's a difference between a lie and a false report

2018-08-07 17:27:33 UTC

not really

2018-08-07 17:27:37 UTC

Add some damage laws

2018-08-07 17:27:44 UTC

@IИVДLID CЯΞДΓIФИ That is just lazy

2018-08-07 17:27:45 UTC

You can report on anything

2018-08-07 17:27:46 UTC

Im aware, and reporters can be sued for it

2018-08-07 17:27:55 UTC

BUT MONEY

2018-08-07 17:28:01 UTC

Not money

2018-08-07 17:28:02 UTC

@An Elbow Lazy, but that's the proper procedure lmao

2018-08-07 17:28:06 UTC

You dont get money

2018-08-07 17:28:50 UTC

And of course, if they retract, you can criticize them for it

2018-08-07 17:29:04 UTC

That's when "fake news" is appropriate

2018-08-07 17:29:31 UTC

@Deleted User Welcome how you doing

2018-08-07 17:29:41 UTC

Not slap "fake news" on news reports that are true that you simply dislike

2018-08-07 17:30:49 UTC

That is the problem. Lazy and false reporting has become so common that there is a "procedure " for backpedaling now.

2018-08-07 17:32:00 UTC

They should improve on that ofc, to say I'm not advocating for that is just wrong.
