plus like how would you even measure evil

2019-01-22 06:30:31 UTC

One of the main arguments for it being immoral comes from the bible. If the bible can be proved, then consequently it would also be proven that homosexuality is wrong

2019-01-22 06:30:36 UTC

If you’re gonna quote the Bible use context and the Hebrew text, not the catholic

2019-01-22 06:30:46 UTC

I ain't catholic fam

2019-01-22 06:31:00 UTC

I am

2019-01-22 06:31:23 UTC

I already cited the Bible. Don’t use my own quote as your defense

2019-01-22 06:31:27 UTC

:p

2019-01-22 06:31:38 UTC

Aight hold on lemme git da verse

2019-01-22 06:31:55 UTC

The catholic translation was the first time “homosexuality” was used. Hebrew doesn’t have a word for homosexuality

2019-01-22 06:32:08 UTC

I'm not referring to old testament

2019-01-22 06:32:14 UTC

I'm referring to the new testament

2019-01-22 06:32:15 UTC

GREEK

2019-01-22 06:32:31 UTC

Was it written in Greek by Paul?

2019-01-22 06:32:35 UTC

Initially?

2019-01-22 06:32:46 UTC

Some books, I think so

2019-01-22 06:33:37 UTC

That’s gonna need some researching on your behalf since the burden of proof falls on the one who claimed it

2019-01-22 06:33:47 UTC

Okie

2019-01-22 06:33:49 UTC

From what I know, most of the Bible is written in Hebrew

2019-01-22 06:33:59 UTC

Matthew 7:1
"Do not Judge, or you too will be judged"

2019-01-22 06:33:59 UTC

How would the Bible be "proved?"

2019-01-22 06:34:10 UTC

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. "

2019-01-22 06:35:28 UTC

So, Noah, do you believe everything in the bible to be literal and helpful in modern society?

2019-01-22 06:35:37 UTC

Most of it, yeah

2019-01-22 06:35:43 UTC

Why most of it?

2019-01-22 06:36:00 UTC

Some stuff like about how you cant eat certain foods are said in the new testament to be no longer necessary

2019-01-22 06:36:14 UTC

The Bible says many things, it argues for and against hatred of gays.

2019-01-22 06:36:22 UTC

Also The book of Galatians talks about obeying the law of the old commandment and not the new commandment will cause you damnation for eternity. The example provided by him was the fact that they made circumcision mandatory and he called them idiots. This means that if you don’t obey the new testament laws provided by Jesus, albeit “don’t judge or you will be judged” then you’re going to hell anyways.

2019-01-22 06:36:22 UTC

How so?

2019-01-22 06:36:46 UTC

Luke 6:31
"Do to others as you would have them do to you. "

2019-01-22 06:36:48 UTC

? There are ample quotations if you scroll up

2019-01-22 06:37:02 UTC

It says "judge not lest ye be judged TO THE SAME EXTENT" its not a warning against judgement, but against hypocrisy

2019-01-22 06:37:27 UTC

@wahx about how the bible is both for and against gay rights?
