I've stayed neutral on the Iran vs Trump thing till now, but I wanted to know what Trump supporters actually feel about Iranian people

2019-02-23 01:56:32 UTC

I don't trust Iran and generally not Iranians due to how much they tend to be very anti-American but on an individual basis I don't hold anything against Iranians.

2019-02-23 01:58:28 UTC

@Obungus anti American Iranians aren't as common as you think, the flag burning and things you see tends to be a minority of Iranians. there's also videos of Americans traveling to Iran and Iranians showing love with open arms, keep in mind that 65 percent of Iranians are not happy with the Islamic republic

2019-02-23 01:59:34 UTC

It's not really an issue of whether or not the majority do or do not support it. I doubt that quite that many people would be so hateful but it's hard to tell who's who from across the world.

2019-02-23 02:00:21 UTC

Politics removed, I consider Iran to be one of the great societies of history and respect it for that.

2019-02-23 02:00:33 UTC

thanks man

2019-02-23 02:00:41 UTC

I hope we can have close ties once again

2019-02-23 02:00:50 UTC

like the times of the great Shah

2019-02-23 02:01:23 UTC

There is quite a lot in the way of that, I too hope we can re-establish friendly relations in the near future.

2019-02-23 02:01:29 UTC

isnt that where theres honor killings on woman?

2019-02-23 02:01:40 UTC

wait what?

2019-02-23 02:02:19 UTC

@Obungus it's crazy how far apart we're now, not too long ago Iran was considered one of America's closest allies

2019-02-23 02:04:17 UTC

It's quite fascinating what a revolution can do

2019-02-23 02:06:01 UTC

I'd call it a "devolution' lol

2019-02-23 02:48:47 UTC

Most revolutions are devolutions.

2019-02-23 02:48:59 UTC

Or at least they have no visible positive outcome in the short term.

2019-02-23 02:52:15 UTC

Hi republicans

2019-02-23 02:56:12 UTC
2019-02-23 02:57:03 UTC

I’m not a republican

2019-02-23 02:57:09 UTC

I’m a constitutionalist

2019-02-23 02:57:21 UTC

I'm leaning Constitutionalist.

2019-02-23 02:57:33 UTC

@Colonel Sanders™ The American Revolution was an exception, yes.

2019-02-23 02:57:50 UTC

The french revolution

2019-02-23 02:58:08 UTC

i guess i would agree that a lot are devolutions

2019-02-23 02:58:09 UTC

The French Revolution IS a Prime example of failed revolution in the short term.

2019-02-23 02:58:10 UTC

but not most

2019-02-23 02:58:24 UTC

but short term is not the goal of a revolution

2019-02-23 02:58:59 UTC

True.

2019-02-23 02:59:12 UTC

But for the short term, a lot of revolutions are failures.

2019-02-23 02:59:22 UTC

i mean

2019-02-23 02:59:30 UTC

i dont know what revolutionaries expect

2019-02-23 02:59:49 UTC

I believe a lot of revolutionaries are misguided.

2019-02-23 02:59:54 UTC

overthrowing the current social structure and government is obviously in the hsort term going to lead to chaos

2019-02-23 03:00:00 UTC

Not all but certainly a lot

2019-02-23 03:00:06 UTC
2019-02-23 03:00:40 UTC

Maintaining the status quo is important. If one wants change, a violent overthrow is not the way. It is important to engage in civil discussions.

2019-02-23 03:00:53 UTC

agreed aswell

2019-02-23 03:01:02 UTC

that's why we see less revolutions in western nations

2019-02-23 03:01:14 UTC

because people are hard to misinform nowadays

2019-02-23 03:01:35 UTC

Indeed.

2019-02-23 03:01:48 UTC

It’s too far gone for civility
