Yeah, but ranting is for IRL problems

2020-01-02 05:36:08 UTC

Not some dipshit thinking a mobile GPU is shit just by virtue of it being mobile

2020-01-02 05:36:17 UTC

smh

2020-01-02 05:39:36 UTC

@Draconic_kingpin Most gaming laptops, believe it or not, are capable of running major gaming titles, even indie ones like Subnautica that are badly optimized from a coding perspective and that have trouble running on beastly computers.

You realize that you are supposed to keep them plugged into power and get a cooling stand for them, right?

2020-01-02 05:39:53 UTC

Like those aftermarket platforms with the cooling fans in them?

2020-01-02 05:40:00 UTC

Those things

2020-01-02 05:40:49 UTC

They help, and keeping the thing plugged in when gaming will not only save your battery, but allow the laptop to run better

2020-01-02 05:41:09 UTC

Don’t write off laptops just because you *think* they’re bad

2020-01-02 05:41:32 UTC

Cause chances are, most of them can pull their advertised weight.

2020-01-02 05:42:51 UTC

@Local Doomguy but are they less then 900$?

2020-01-02 05:42:57 UTC

Also, on my way to work

2020-01-02 05:43:17 UTC

*bruh*

2020-01-02 05:43:32 UTC

That’s irrelevant to my point

2020-01-02 05:44:04 UTC

It is

2020-01-02 05:44:11 UTC

A 900$ pc will run just as well as a 900$ laptop; the performance gap at that point is minimal

2020-01-02 05:44:18 UTC

I'm talking for budget wise right now

2020-01-02 05:44:22 UTC

And not its not

2020-01-02 05:44:49 UTC

A 900$ PC will run way better the a 900$ laptop

2020-01-02 05:45:33 UTC

X to doubt, it depends on the purpose for both devices

2020-01-02 05:45:57 UTC

A 900$ office PC is going to pale in comparison to a 900$ gaming laptop

2020-01-02 05:46:00 UTC

900 pc will run better than a laptop 100%

2020-01-02 05:46:15 UTC

Gaming PC vs.Gaming Laptop

2020-01-02 05:46:47 UTC

now yo ucan get a better gaming laptop over 900 that is faster than the 900 pc desktop, but that's gonna cost at least 1500$+ or more

2020-01-02 05:47:12 UTC

and with a desktop you can upgrade anytime you want, you're stuck with limited specs on a laptop

2020-01-02 05:47:23 UTC

And if someone only has 700, its gonna be a bit tight for a laptop

2020-01-02 05:48:58 UTC

Alright, let me put it this way, a laptop with an i5 and a 1050 in it will run World of Tanks just as well as a PC with an i5 and a 1050 in it.

2020-01-02 05:50:00 UTC

Same applies to CSGO, any CoD title, and any shitty World of Warcraft clone with a star trek theme to it

2020-01-02 05:50:46 UTC

I hate to butt in, but
Is there any way one could make a fuckin 2005-ish eMachines Windows 7 desktop better as a gaming computer? I tried to play L4D2 online and it crashed the entire computer

2020-01-02 05:51:08 UTC

Get windows 10

2020-01-02 05:51:17 UTC

Then put it on an SSD

2020-01-02 05:51:23 UTC

SSD?

2020-01-02 05:51:30 UTC

Solid State Drive

2020-01-02 05:51:33 UTC

Ah

2020-01-02 05:51:37 UTC

Like a thumb drive on crack

2020-01-02 05:51:41 UTC

And speed

2020-01-02 05:51:45 UTC

Ah

2020-01-02 05:52:35 UTC

I've got a Windows 10 laptop (acer instead of eMachines), but it sucks, too
Its main issue is storage, and half the shit on it I don't really wanna delete because I don't know if it'll make my laptop have a seizure and die

2020-01-02 05:53:21 UTC

I had an old eMachines computer, it’s sitting out in my fathers dooryard rotting away

2020-01-02 05:53:25 UTC

*junk*

2020-01-02 05:53:45 UTC

why is everybody muted in general one

2020-01-02 05:53:47 UTC

I know, shit's garbage
I can't even run TF2 on it
