Lmao she made a sound. Japanese VAs really know what they’re doing tho they’re so expressive in a way that’s hard to find in other languages’ voice acting talents for some reason

I’d say Italian and German VAs are about as close to a good job as you can get in video games and animation

I remember playing the Witcher in German lmaoooooooo Geralt sounds way better than in English

I think english voice acting is kinda stuck in a rough spot. If you try too hard most people think you sound silly/not serious

it really depends, funimation has a big studio in texas, so a lot of the vas have texas accents, which can take away from the fact that the characters are japanese.

Also doesn't help that if you're reading along with a language vs actually understanding it's hard to actually pick up on small stuff tbh
