And that's what the user wants

2020-01-25 18:18:23 UTC

not just because of that

2020-01-25 18:18:44 UTC

macOS has way more commercial support, especially in the prosumer spectrum

2020-01-25 18:19:08 UTC

How can anyone compete with Open Source when it comes to versitality and UI's ?

2020-01-25 18:19:21 UTC

Exactly, that's what I meant

2020-01-25 18:19:34 UTC

Because as open source, it's gonna keep updating

2020-01-25 18:19:46 UTC

By others, not by the creator

2020-01-25 18:19:50 UTC

because when you’re a professional you don’t give a shut about your os being open source

2020-01-25 18:20:01 UTC

True that

2020-01-25 18:20:19 UTC

you want your os to do what’s supposed to do, when it’s supposed to do it

2020-01-25 18:20:33 UTC

Ofcourse you do. But that depends what kind of "profession" you are adhering to?

2020-01-25 18:20:37 UTC

Yeah, it works good for the mainstream

2020-01-25 18:20:55 UTC

you want access to the best tools to utilise, and the cold truth is that Linux has very little to no commercial support

2020-01-25 18:20:57 UTC

But for the rest, especially programming and third party softwares

2020-01-25 18:21:07 UTC

good luck finding any type of creative suite on Linux

2020-01-25 18:21:11 UTC

It is slowly getting commercial support

2020-01-25 18:21:16 UTC

I've been thinking this
Mermaids
But there in Alcoholic drinks
Should I draw that?

2020-01-25 18:21:23 UTC

And it doesn't need much, because it is free

2020-01-25 18:21:29 UTC

name one big creative suite that’s on Linux

2020-01-25 18:21:31 UTC

@noid Agreed. Linux's problem is it's lack of support

2020-01-25 18:21:33 UTC

@drunk pickles#2249 it's a good OC so it

2020-01-25 18:21:39 UTC

K

2020-01-25 18:22:04 UTC

Ouch my head

2020-01-25 18:22:13 UTC

But if we spread awareness about this whole monopoly for Mac and windows, and educate the masses to get on Linux

2020-01-25 18:22:16 UTC

It can help

2020-01-25 18:22:30 UTC

It's more about the problem in ethics now

2020-01-25 18:22:30 UTC

no it can’t

2020-01-25 18:22:39 UTC

Why not

2020-01-25 18:22:46 UTC

It is free and open source

2020-01-25 18:22:55 UTC

/hands @avocadopit a painkiller

2020-01-25 18:22:59 UTC

And if enough people can be educated on thst

2020-01-25 18:23:12 UTC

@avocadopit aww take care man

2020-01-25 18:23:26 UTC

**hand me a gun**

2020-01-25 18:23:26 UTC

We can remove the monopolization out of it

2020-01-25 18:23:51 UTC

*hands @avocadopit a gun loaded with aspirin*

2020-01-25 18:23:55 UTC

So far Ubuntu based distros have most commercial support

2020-01-25 18:24:35 UTC

in addition to not having commercial support, the biggest problem of Linux is that it doesn’t come with any kind of guarantee - when you work in a professional environment you can’t afford to lose time because the os is being problematic and doesn’t work properly

2020-01-25 18:24:50 UTC

Oh okay

2020-01-25 18:25:04 UTC

Again, the ethics come into play kinda

2020-01-25 18:25:08 UTC

you need to have active support in case you run into any kind of problem

2020-01-25 18:25:44 UTC

Again, that's the thing, since Linux is not so commercialized or mainstream yet, the support isn't that much available
