@Kyle, But he's a gay Raccoon Btw, jacks of all trades are more valuable than you think. Just because you haven't specialized in anything yet, doesn't mean the experience isn't valuable. All of it counts. I've known a few people who've changed careers as late as in their 50's.

also i agree with @Farunel sometimes it's best to be well rounded, you kinda get fucked when you toss all your eggs in one basket

not trying to take anything away from those who focus on one thing though, there's benefits and downsides to both

We need people who can master a subject. Else who would be the ones to bring it to the next level with discovery and shit? I'm personally a jack of all trades though.

yeah that'd be the benefit of it, a downside would be trying to find work for years in your field of study, i've just seen it happen to so many of my friends and they eventually have to find something else

yeah, i've been working since 15, 31 now and have had jobs everywhere from the food industry to clerical and management, it's easy for me to get a job cause of that

but i don't expect to make anywhere near what someone makes after going to school and all that jazz

With my living situation I don't need to earn a lot. So it's not as big a risk for me to jump into employing myself I guess

I'm employing myself for similar reasons. My health was getting really bad when I was working in retail

I was in the same place for about a year. I wouldn't have quit unless someone else told me to tbh. I felt this weird loyalty towards them that they didn't even deserve lol.

I'll have to get a normal job as well as soon as we move. But it'll only be for 2 days a week
